I've talked extensively with several people, namely Maigus, Count and Wasabee, and we have officially decided on the direction of the website.
Our Immediate Plans:
GamerPost will serve as a Jedi Academy community. Anyone from any clan can hang out here and talk about whatever they want. Count will be getting a 16 player server (which can be upgraded) and a 32 slot Teamspeak server. This server will be a public server. It will be set to the latest version of JA Plus Mod, and only rotate on standard Jedi Academy maps, thus making it as open as possible.
How it will work:
GamerPost will be the first (to our knowledge) totally open JA community. Anyone from any clan or even no clan can join and hang out. The reason for the server (aside from normal use) is for special events. Here's how it will work: GamerPost is not a clan, it's a community. Our purpose will be as a host for inter-clan matches and tournaments, as well as other special events. We're thinking that we'll have a special forum where groups can submit times they'd like to reserve the server and the same for us.
What you would do:
Almost everyone currently still here is an ex-ExJK who is either in another clan, or probably doesn't play JA anymore. For those that are currently in clans, you would stay in them and tell your clans about us. The rest of us that are high ranking officials would be part of GPn, which is a group, (not a clan) who will manage the servers and site/forums. Everyone else will essentially be commoners, though we'll still show favoritism to those of you who are still here.
What kinds of events and stuff:
Well we haven't finalized it all yet,m but we'd like to do some FFA, CTF, Duel and Siege tournaments, as well as any other things anyone comes up with. We may even revive the old JA Olympics idea...Wampa jousting!!
Our ultimate intention:
We hope to be a 'hub' for JA players where we can also have the latest in big JA news. For clans that are big and stay with us a long time, we may set up a list of server trackers on a page and list their server on it, though we haven;t decided on the details. The kinds of events we can host can be varied and open to certain groups or anyone. We can also feature big things like JA movies and special maps, like the one Count might make eventually.
The future:
JA is not the only goal though. Our ultimate intention is to have it expand to other games if interest and turnout is high enough. I myself want to set up a small Nintendo Wifi setup so we can arrange Smash Bros tournaments and whatever else. However, we're only human and can only handle so much. This is why we would have others run the other game sections eventually.
So the plan is, to help get this started we will be promoting Maigus to Administrator. When we get lots of people, you loyal people will get first dibs at nominations for moderators and other high positions.
We'll also be looking at updating the site's look to be less...bland. We'll probably also cleanup the forums and delete some of the old unnecessary topics that were auto-locked. But we'll be sure not in the Creative Corner forums!

Today, Lucasarts announced that they will be releasing a special PC compilation of 5 of their greatest recent Star Wars games. Included in this new collection, dubbed the Star Wars: Best of PC, are Star Wars: Empire at War, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Republic Commando, as well as a free 14-day trial of Star Wars Galaxies. The suggested retail price is $49.99. This collection certainly has some great games in it, although it is curious that they have chosen Jedi Knight II over Jedi Academy. This compilation will be released sometime during this holiday season.
