Well, it's been kinda slow here, both on the boards and with news.

The Nintendo DS Lites' Onyx Black and Coral Pink versions have been released in the United States (probably everywhere at this point) with a retail of $129.99. Probably worth a look (at least the black one anyways).

Here's an event rundown I found . Pretty much gives a rundown of everything that happened. The Q&A at the end was pretty informative.

Looks like GamerPost isn't the only one singing the Wii praises. Apparently many of the third party developers are applauding Nintendo for everthing from pricing to the revolutionary controls to the Virtual console, allowing classic games new life. Now as you've seen before your GamerPost staff is pretty Wii biased. As mostly college students our budgets are tight and cheap gaming is what we're looking for. ($599? WRONG!!!) Nintendo has taken a leap with Wii that it hasn't in the past and from the looks of things it's gonna pay off for them. Here's a small sample. Take the link to see more.

"With escalating costs for both developing games and for consumers buying new game systems, we applaud Nintendo's drive to spread gaming to the masses - and we fully support that approach."
- Brian Farrell, President and CEO, THQ, Inc.

"For established publishers, the Virtual Console model is a tremendous opportunity to extend our classic brands. Nobody ever thinks of a good book as retired - why shouldn't great games live forever, too?"
- Naoya Tsurumi, CEO, Sega of America

Rock on Nintendo!!!
