Here's some of the highlights of this year's Comic-Con.

-Batman Begins Sequel - Heath Ledger has been unofficially announced to play the Joker in the untitled Batman Begins sequel. Check out www.batman-on-film.com for info.
-Marvel Films - There's plenty of news on upcoming Marvel movies, including Iron-Man, Ghost Rider, The Incredible Hulk (Hulk sequel), and several new projects. Check out www.superherohype.com for info.
-DC Films - There's also some new info on Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman, and the Flash, as well as hints at Batman Begins 2 and Superman 6. Check out www.superherohype.com for info.
-Superman II: RDE For those that don't know, way back in the day when Superman: The Movie was being shot, director Richard Donner started to film Superman II simultaneously, intending for Superman 1 to be a cliffhanger. After Superman 1 was a big hit, WB replaced Donner with Richard Lester, who then decided to discard almost all the previously shot footage and film a new version, which would be more comic book-like, which became the Superman II we all know. Now, WB is allowing Donner to finish his version of Superman II, which will be released in November along with special re-releases of Superman: The Movie, Superman II (original version), Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (LOL), and Supergirl. This new version of Superman II is intended to be more serious, and coincidentally clears up some confusion regarding Superman Returns.

And the best for last...
-Star Wars '07 Game - As has been hinted at on StarWars.com hyperspace for some time, something fairly big is in development for 2007 in the Star Wars universe. Now we know! This untitled game, set between Episodes III and IV, appears to be next step in the generation of games that we have all come to know and love of late as Jedi Academy. Not much is known in details, except that LucasArts plans to make this their most realistic game to date. Using new technologies that will be featured in the new Indiana Jones game, this will take Star Wars gaming to a whole new level for a whole new generation of gaming. Normally, to see the special Force Powers Pre-Vis video you'd either have to have Hyperspace or be at Comic-Con. However, I have discovered a Youtube version of it ! But trust me, the Youtube video's quality does not do it justice... ENJOY......
And also in related news, LucasArts confirmed that they will make games for all next-gen systems, with particular interest in the Wii's saber-like functionality.
