More and more news is pouring in from E3!

One of the things that took everyone by surprise today was the surprise trailer and images from the awaited 3rd installment: Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

According to Nintendo, because of adding WiFi capabilities and other features, the game will not be a Wii launch title, but will instead be released in early 2007.

So far, new characters that have been revealed are: Pit (Kid Icarus), Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid), Zero Suit Samus (Metroid: Zero Mission), Metaknight and Wario!

The game will not controll like most other Wii games, but will instead employ a more traditional control system, which can be accomplished either by the Wii Virtual Console Contoller or a regular Gamecube controller.

The score is being done by Nobuo Uematsu who was responsible for the memorable soundtracks in most Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts, and FFVII: Advent Children. You can hear the main title to the trailer (possibly the game too) here: http://www.smashbros.com/en/music/mp3/main_theme.mp3

The game's creators have also mentioned that Snake may not be the only 3rd party character to make it into SSBD *cough*Sonic*cough*......

To clarify some confusion on the English site, "Smash Bros. Dojo" is the name of the site, not the game.

You can check out the trailer, screenshots and more here: http://www.smashbros.com/en/main.html

It has been a crazy last few days because of all the info coming in form the E3 2006 video game convention! While I could post pages and pages on everything, I'm only going to focus on three things.

Nintendo Wii
Well, for me the name is starting to sink in. Yesterday, NOA unvieled some of the last bits of info on the Wii.

-It will be connected to the internet 24/7
-The 'Nunchuk' attatchment is tilt-sensitive
-The Wii-mote has a built in speaker

Additionally, tons of new Wii games have been unveiled for the Q4 2006 release:
-Disaster: Day of Crisis
-Excite Truck
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
-Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
-Super Mario Galaxy (temporary name)
-WarioWare: Smooth Moves
-Wii Sports

To clarify on Twilight Princess, NOA explained that the new Zelda game will be released in two versions; one for GCN, and one for Wii.

That's right. Wii (pronounced We).

Since our site still seems to be lacking somewhat lately, I've decided that I'm going to start reporting game news, particularly that of Nintendo.

Apparently the new name for the Revolution is intended as a double-meaning. As is seen in the flash intro at the official site, it represents both the new grounds Nintendo is breaking, as well as the new aim of targetting both gamers and non-gamers. I don't know what it s lately, but first Star Trek XI, and now this, the whole world has gone outta whack.... Rolling Eyes

In other Nintendo News, this month's Game Informer magazine spilled the beans on Wii's first FPS, named Red Steel. The game implements both sword and guns using the new controllers. Additionally, more info has been released on the upcoming NDS title, Star Trek: Tactical Assault. The game will be a strategy-slash-action game set the Original Series timeframe (the mid-to-late 23rd century) featuring ships from the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Gorn, and Orions. (Don't worry Count, none of those other random SFC races...)

Many games have been announced for Wii, including Super Smash Bros Revolution*, Metroid Prime 3, Spider-Man 3, Red Steel, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3, Super Mario Revolution*, Legend of Zelda Revolution*, and dozens more.

We'll be finding out more about all of these and more at the big E3 game convention in May.
