I'm not sure when the change occured but in what i thought was going to be another vain attempt at checking www.smashbros.com the site that's remained completely unchanged since mid November has now completely disappeared in it's place i discovered this:

yes a place holder now exists and apparently in 4 days a new site will be launched makes me think something big is coming and at this point i betting we'll probably be FINALLY seeing a release date on this thing.
